It was the trip that we have been planning for weeks – 8 families plus 17 kids.  Never mind the kids, I was super excited and SO ready for some sun, fun, beach, pool and plenty of pho!  Destination is Danang, a port city that sits on the South Central Coast of Vietnam.  Flight time from Hong Kong to Danang is only 1 hour and 40 minutes.  A short hop away and then this is what awaits – the perfect beach vacation.

計劃已久的復活節家庭旅遊終於要登場了!   因為有一對夫妻好友熱衷往峴港跑,去了兩次之後，也號召其他家庭一起參加他們的復活節旅行。最後揪一揪總共揪到了八個家庭,其中包含十七個小朋友一起出發。  不要說小孩子了,大人們都超級期待這次的旅行，我超級需要陽光，海灘，還有吃到飽的越南河粉。 峴港飛到香港需要坐兩個鐘頭不到的飛機，之後就可以盡心欣賞這樣風景…

life is good, isn’t it?   人生夫復何求？

With this much hype, I knew it was almost too good to be true.  MM got sick as soon as we landed in Vietnam.  In the morning, I wasn’t sure what was wrong.  She was just quiet, grouchy, and very irritable.  Soon enough, she wasn’t really eating much and I can see that she was very uncomfortable.  I enjoyed about 1 morning at the pool and stayed pretty much in the room with her most of the trip.  We tried to make the best out of it, and the hotel was certainly really enjoyable and family friendly.  The hotel is only 20 minutes away from the airport and it’s pretty much in the middle of no where.  You wouldn’t be able to walk outside and expect to walk to local establishments or stores.

This is the two bedroom apartment we shared with another family.  It has a living room, dining room and fully function kitchen.  Two bedrooms are both equipped with its own bathroom.  The only thing that I would say is missing is a washer and dryer.  That would be nice to have.

果然一抵達越南,我就覺得妹妹怪怪的.  她特別的安靜,不想吃東西,一直眉頭深鎖的.  早上帶她去游泳池之後,她也沒有特別開心.  直到下午我才確定她生病了.  雖然假期一半的時間都關在飯店裡面陪她休息,但是飯店的的硬體設施都讓我們覺得挺滿意的.  飯店距離機場差不多二十分鐘.  面積超廣的，但是附近什麼都沒有，去哪裡都需要叫計程車，如果是喜歡到處走走的旅客，可能就不太適合。 我們已經打算跟小朋友大部分時間都窩在飯店，所以對我們而言沒差。  這是個十分適合有小朋友的家庭來住的飯店.  我們跟另外一對夫妻好友share 一個兩房的公寓.  除了view 超棒之外,裡面有客廳,廚房,和餐廳,唯一美中不足的是沒有洗衣機.  這是我們住的兩房公寓.

其他朋友也shared 兩房或三房公寓，也是非常舒服。

The whole resort sits on a sprawling estate, and spreads out nicely.  There are three pools and the one that we spent a lot of time on was the one with a sand pit right in front and the kids pretty much refused to leave.  The hotel also had a good collection of sand toys so we didn’t have to bring our own.

飯店總共有三個游泳池,我們最常去的就是前面有一條長長的沙坑.  小朋友基本上去了之後都不想走了。飯店也貼心的準備了很多玩沙的玩具，所以我們不用從香港扛一堆去。

Obviously the pool was a lot of fun for the kids but if you can drag them away, the beach was beautiful with soft sand that just felt luxurious at the sole of your feet.

在游泳池耗了一整個上午,下午小朋友就衝到海灘去.  我已經不記得普吉島沙灘的觸感如何，但是一踏上這邊的沙灘，你會覺得好舒服，因為它的沙超級柔軟的，踩起來特別享受。

Even though it was only 4 days and three nights, and I spent most of the time glued to a sick toddler, Max really enjoyed it and I would definitely consider coming back for a short weekend get away – maybe leave the kids at home this time.

雖然只有短短的四天三夜，而且大部分時間都在照顧生病的妹妹，哥哥玩得超開心的。我想下次有機會我們還是想再回來一次，小朋友們也許把他們留在家裡就好了！
